The largest bucket is tax return filing and tax planning. While tax season is our busiest time of year, as we help individuals and small businesses with their compliance filing requirements, we are also engaged by clients to perform accounting and business consulting services. ACCOUNTING & ASSURANCE

Accounting is the language of business. It encompasses everything that goes into financial statement preparation on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis. This spans the spectrum from bookkeeping to CFO/Controller work to assurance services – like reviews and compilations. We offer these services to our clients to help meet their needs whether it be for banks and other outside financiers or for the client’s own comfort to know that the numbers are correct.

TAX COMPLIANCE & PLANNING

Tax preparation is the most common reason clients request our services. We have a solid track record of preparing complete and accurate returns for individuals and entity clients – including partnerships, corporations, trusts, estates, and non-profits. Tax planning is where we can really add value by maximizing the options available in the Internal Revenue Code to either reduce taxable income, increase deductions, or take advantage of certain exceptions in the Code to postpone the recognition of a taxable event until a later date, thereby reducing the tax obligation. We also offer tax representation services if the IRS or state taxing authority issues you a notice of deficiency.

BUSINESS CONSULTING

We work as trusted business advisors to aid companies with a variety of issues. This includes analysis and planning surrounding a specific transaction, including a business acquisition, partner retirement, or new debt financing. We are also called in for special purpose engagements such as review of the accounting personnel, software, or accounting procedures in place at an organization.
